Three steps from sample to report — no manual counting or measuring.
1 Print the Calibration Sheet
Download and print the calibration sheet at 100% / Actual Size — turn off "fit to page" or "shrink to fit" in your print settings. This matters: if the print is even a little smaller or larger than it should be, every measurement RiceCaliper gives you will be off by the same amount.
Before using it, check the printed 50mm ruler against a real ruler. If it doesn't read exactly 50mm, your print came out the wrong size — print it again at 100%.
…and Spread the Sample
Place the sheet on a flat surface with soft, even light — not a single harsh light from one side. Spread the grains out in a single layer so they don't touch or overlap, and make sure all four corner markers are still visible.
2 Click a Photo
Hold your phone roughly overhead, with all four corner markers in frame and in focus. Good, even lighting helps — try to avoid strong shadows or glare.
